Dealing with Hate: Strategies for Animal Welfare Professionals

We all knew that working to help homeless animals day in and day out would be challenging and emotionally draining; what we didn’t know was that those difficulties would be multiplied by a nearly constant barrage of attacks from people, both within and outside our profession. Those attacks can leave us feeling confused, angry, and isolated, and can have significant impacts on our physical and emotional well-being.
