Using Alternatives to Incarceration and Recognizing the Role of Trauma in Violence Against Animals

This webinar will discuss innovative work that identifies alternatives to traditional sentencing practices, which appropriately and accurately address underlying causes of animal cruelty, provide fairness to all parties involved in animal cruelty, and work to curb the rate of future cruelty. Specifically, this webinar will discuss the role trauma can play as an underlying cause of cruelty, as well as methods to address and heal such trauma so it does not perpetuate animal cruelty in the future.
